Purpose of Fasting: Fasting is a discipline of refraining from food for a spiritual purpose. Fasting is a normal part of the Christian lifestyle. We fast when faced with temptations, trials, or potentially dangerous situations such as COVID-19. Fasting brings on repentance. Fasting increases our sensitivity to the Spirit. Fasting brings on deeper worship and praise.
How Fasting Is Effective: You must pray “during” the fast in order for fasting to be effective. Meditate on God’s word.
What to Pray for: We are corporately praying and fasting for God to completely turn around our ministry, health, mind, finances, family, children, careers, businesses, jobs, etc. We are also praying and fasting for our church building, land, and property.

Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, 1so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

“No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse. Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins.
